Review of Maggie (2015) by Amanda I — 22 Oct 2017
This is really a good film. It's not really a horror flick, despite the zombie theme throughout, but more of a drama about coming to terms with loss. I think the lower ratings from critics and others may be coming from the expectations of a horror film rather a dark, family drama.
This movie has stayed with me since I watched it, and I think that speaks to the power of the story and some incredible performances from Arnold and other cast members. It isn't a perfect film, and the pacing may seem slow. However, it delivers a quality emotional payoff at the end and is a film well worth watching.
