Review of Maggie (2015) by Emod L — 04 Sep 2015
I started watching this expecting it to be a complete joke, but I ended up being completely surprised at how serious it was. The struggle of one man trying to protect his infected daughter and try to keep her human at all costs made for almost poignant story.
Maggie, at its core, is a metaphorical look at the mistreatment of patients, and the stigma that terminally ill patients have to endure from society as a whole. I was just surprised at how deep and dark this film was, and strangely enough, at how solid Schwarzenegger's acting was here.
He was surprisingly good.
