African American men denigrated and vilified on the screen. As an African American mother of two men, this movie as well as other recent movies and Black plays have become a self fulfilling prophecy. When a group of people are constantly being put down, after a while the group gives up. Our men are kings and princes and should be treated as such. Black men arise and stand tall. You are beautiful and loved.
