Review of Madea's Big Happy Family (2011) by Michael V — 30 Sep 2011
"This is why I don't like Tyler Perry that much, he's a very talented director & writer that he knows how to make a funny movie but unfortunaley, he doesn't make enough of them. This is the only movie (also Madea Goes To Jail & Meet The Browns) he's made me laugh out loud hard several times. Madea's Big Happy Family is Perry's funniest movie yet. His infamous alter egos Madea & Joe are back and funnier than ever. Followed by strong solid performances especially from Loretta Devine. Also as in every Perry movie, always has positve message. Tyler Perry is a good director but sometimes selfish and dosen't give us what we want in his movies.
He's done good lately, giving us IMO his best flick to date For Colored Girls and of course help produce one of the best flicks of 09' Precious. Again, this is his funniest movie to date with crazy & hilarious dialogue with very outrageous & very funny characters especially Perry's always secret weapon Mr. Brown played by David Mann & one of the funniest characters in the movie Sabrina played by Teyana Taylor.".
