Review of Madea's Big Happy Family (2011) by Robert D — 30 Apr 2011

I'm usually not a fan of TP films, but this one was not that bad. TP is becoming a better filmmaker. I was surprised that in this film he actually had some male characters who were good guys. The movie is an emotional roller coaster ride that will have you laughing one minute & reaching for your Kleenex the next.

The biggest problem that I had w/ the film is that TP tries to send to many messages in one movie. The movie gets to be too preachy at times. TP has to learn to stick w/ one story w/ one theme & elaborate on that more fully.

Other than that, I think the film was worthwhile.
