Review of Made in Dagenham (2010) by Sam C — 05 Oct 2010
Made in Dagenham, an inspired workforce of women at the Ford plant in Dagenham take up their placards in protest to the injustice of unequal pay. On premise alone this film is already one up but the fact is the film never seems to dull out and is a brilliantly accurate portrayal of the time period.
Brilliant performances from Sally Hawkins and Bob Hoskins are particular highlights. If this is the sort of film we miss out on due to the scrapping of the National Film Council then boo to you Mr Cameron and Mr Osbourne.
