Review of Made in Dagenham (2010) by Gracia A — 17 Mar 2011
A charming and disarming underdog story with a feminist bite. The female machinists who labored at the Fordâ(TM)s plant in the industrial town of Dagenham, went on strike in 1968 for equal pay and their true battle tale is genuinely uplifting. Their campaign culminated two years later with the passage of equal pay legislation for women in England.
All characters were immaculately played by a wonderful British casts. I would recommend this: It is a perfectly competent film of ordinary women accomplishing extraordinary things, a movie that inspires and amuses.
