Review of Madame Bovary (1949) by Mloy X — 11 Jan 2010
Pretty risque undertaking for the time, but Jennifer Jones added a lot of credibility and allure to an otherwise selfish, unlikeable character. I've always loved Louis Jordan in Gigi and The Swan and to see him play a heartless cad was tough, but he pulled it off.
Really classy take on the story.
