Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Odjento — 15 May 2015
This is obviously what Miller really wanted to create, not the previous film. With more interesting bad guys, far better acting, a more dynamic role performed by Gibson and awesome visuals (not only for it's time but even now they are respectable), The Road Warrior to me is the first real Mad Max film.
However, dialogue and writing still isn't the best - but definitely improved a lot from Mad Max - and the fact that he isn't mad, just angry, kind of annoyed me a bit. He should be called Angry Max not Mad Max.
With some very nice action sequences and a better cast overall and far far better plot and pacing, Mad Max 2 does a good job at being an action film.
