"RISE OF THE ROAD WARRIOR".

- 'Mad Max' is a 1979 Australian action film directed by George Miller (Babe in the City, the Witches of Eastwick). It got a cult status and meant the true launch of Mel Gibson's (Lethal Weapon saga, Braveheart)career, who plays the role of Max Rockatansky. For a long time the film was considered the highest-profiting low budget movie. The story is simple and yet very brilliant and deals with speeding cars, rapists and murderers. I would absolutely recommend everyone on seeing it. Two sequels followed, 'Max Mad 2' in 1981 and 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome' in 1985. A new 'Mad Max' film starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron is scheduled for 2015.

During a high-speed chase on the desolate roads of Australia with policeman Max Rockatansky (Gibson) dangerous criminal called 'Nightcrawler' crashes his car and get killed in the explosion. Shortly after his death, his motorcycle gang searches his coffin and starts to terrorize a small town. After raping a young couple, one of the gang members gets caught by Max and his partner Goose. But when the victims of the rape do not show up at the trial, the man is released due to a lack of evidence. Goose is furious and must be restrained. The criminal joins his gang and starts to plot a revenge plan to take care of Goose.

After seeing his partner mutilated body, Max decides to quit the force. He goes on a road trip with his wife Jessie and his son Sprog and starts to enjoy life. But along the way, they come across the motorcycle gang and things go horribly wrong...
