Last 20 minutes was genuinely edgy and tense - much better than the rest of it. Looks horribly dated now... although I think speeding up the film to make it look like car chases are quicker would have looked pretty bad back in 1979.
No idea why there's so much hype. Mediocre at best, should have been just another 70s film that faded into ridiculous obscurity.
