Review of Machuca (2004) by Joel K — 22 May 2008
The movie is a difficult one and all in the viewpoint of innocent (and not so innocent) high school children in Chile. The context is the Revolution with Pinochet in the 70's. The protagonists are two students from widely diverging backgrounds: upper class and farmer boy from the country side.
There is enough material to make a moving movie.
