Review of Machuca (2004) by Juano G — 07 Dec 2013
The film has its flaws, but 10 years later, it retains the distinction of having both the most compelling storytelling and the most technically proficient filmmaking to come out of Chile in recent times.
It remains frustrating that neither its author nor its stars (with the possible exception of Martelli, but barely so) ended up moving onto greater things, though.
