Review of Machine Gun Preacher (2011) by Galaxy Quest P — 17 Jun 2012
It is playing into the regular culture in trying to shed light like the Kony viral video and it does just that in getting the point across. It made you realize the horrors that are taking place and what one man has gone out of his way to try and do.
The movie wise portion of the film was alright, it does a pretty good job in shaping Gerard Butler's character and his struggles and changing heart and shows him a little bit crazy and possessed. The family issue about him almost trading his girl for the kids in Africa is pretty good at tugging on the heart strings as well.
There were some areas the film should have shaped a bit more like the relationships with his wife and best friend.
