Review of Machete Kills (2013) by Jon P — 08 Nov 2013
Gratuitously violent and relentlessly entertaining, Robert Rodriguez's second venture into the world of Machete is a popcorn-munching massacre. The gags hit all the right notes and, despite being almost 70 years of age, Danny Trejo has far from lost his touch.
However, the film's true merits lie in cameo character, Chameleon, and Rodriguez's ever-inventive methods of killing off his expendables. Tongue wedged in cheek rarely tastes this good.
