Even though it wasn't good, it saddens me that we will not get to see 'Machete Kills Again... In Space'.

Danny Trejo is back as the title character, and although I really did quite enjoy the original Machete, this film mostly misses the magic of the first film.

There was so much happening in this film. The reason why the first film worked was due to it's simplicity. It had a small budget, and revolved around the ridiculousness of the central character. Here though, Rodriguez creates too many other crazy characters, and it ends up being a mess.

The film is more a parody of Star Wars, than a Grindhouse film, and when you start to realise that the whole film is structured around a particular Star Wars film, you know how it is going to end, and it will frustrate you more.

As you then realise that watching the whole film was a little pointless.

Due to the box office returns, I think it's safe to say there won't be a sequel.

There are some nice moments and visuals, like the Double-D gun is entertaining, but Sofia Vergara's character is pointless. Mel Gibson is fun, but underused.

It's too long, convoluted and actually a little dull.

And the other problem...

Machete don't act.

He is not good.
