Review of MacGyver: Trail to Doomsday (1994) by Mega D — 05 Jun 2008
Mac is my hero - But sadly in this film he's a bit rubbish all round.
I don't know how they justified making a MacGyver almost barren of MacGyverisms, apart from using some charcoal as a gas mask and unscrewing the top of a nuclear bomb using a tennis racket Mac doesn't really get flex his brain at all in this, instead he flops around London looking for reasons why his buddy was murdered, and stumbles over bad fashion, mangled accents and a dire score. Overall this takes itself way too seriously and has low production values and a murky London setting that makes it a bit of a chore to watch. For the die-hard Mac fans only!
