Spectacular Scottish scenery, beautiful camera work, excellent costumes and makeup.

I could not get emotionally involved with this great tragedy, sadly. I fully expected to, but no. all the characters were speaking sotto voce, low whispery tones throughout, with insufficient tonal variation. Loved the broad Scottish accents, but could not understand the words, of course.

Would consider seeing a second time just for the extreme beauty of it, however. As well as Shakespeare's message about "vaunting ambition".
