Review of Macbeth (2015) by Owen J — 21 Oct 2015
The cinematography is wonderful and Shakespeare's dialog is always interesting. But after the wonderfully intense opening half hour the dialog comes to the fore, and the slow and ponderous and very modern delivery robs the cinematography of its intended depth and vice versa.
That's the danger of mixing styles. It seems to come from two different worlds.
