Review of Lust for Life (1956) by Satomi N — 07 Dec 2007
In one word, intense. I'm not much of an Impressionism lover, but this made me appreciate Van Gogh more for his "all or nothing" take on life, filled with pain and angst, joy and life. Kirk Douglas's depiction probably is not nearly as passionate and raw as the real Van Gogh was, but it's still superb.
