Review of Lust for Life (1956) by Jeff B — 01 Jun 2009
Good Vincente Minnelli film starring Kirk Douglas as Vincent van Gogh. Great use of colors, both in the paintins and the scenery, the fields and buildings sort of looked like the paintings brought to life.
Douglas was excellent as van Gogh, as was Oscar winner Anthony Quinn as his friend Gauguin, I especially liked the scene where they first met. It was a little long but it was never dull.
