This was both a love story and a war story and a thriller, during Japanese occupation in China in WWII. A group of actors become resistant fighters, and attempt to kill a high ranking official. a woman is chosen to infiltrate their close knit group, and the man.
Very good, great scenery makes you feel like you're in China. With subtitles.
