Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Alysia V — 20 Sep 2008
A very long and slow moving foreign film, but yet somewhat intriguing. I thought the acting was intense and well done and I am glad to have seen this film. A trivial deatil, but the outfits that the character of Wang Jiazhi wore throughout the movie were absolutely stunning.
It's a messed up story of lust, that makes you wonder if there was actually any love between the two in the end? If so, they had a strange way of showing it...Certainly a risque film, but I did like it.
I like films like this that give me a better feel for other cultures out there. It's just not a film that I'm thrilled about watching over and over again..
