Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Peter A — 16 Oct 2008
This was a little disapointing but that's not the fault of the film just my expectations. Ang Lee delivers another thought provoking, well acted film that seems just a little too predictable. It was overly long and never seemed to get going until the final half hour by which time your patience is wearing thin.
I never invested in nor connected with the characters and so didn't care for the final outcome but I can objectively tell that it is a good film. I think the language barrier was a problem for me that it normally isn't for foreign films.
I may try it again some other time it could be a grower.
