Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Nina V — 29 Oct 2008
The acting in this movie is breath-taking. Everyone seems to comment on how long and slow this movie was but I was so wrapped up in the characters that I didn't notice. The characters have real depth and the film itself is aesthetically pleasing.
I did see the NC-17 version and I was surprised to find the scenes that warranted this rating to actually contribute to its characters. It's beyond lust and exposes something deeper.
