Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Jasdeep C — 23 Mar 2009
I have only one word to describe this movie: intense. The movie takes place in pre-Revolutionary China, during WWII. Wei Tang plays a spy for the Resistance, and ensnares Mr. Yee, a top official, in a dangerous game of sexual and emotional intrigue.
The NC-17 rating is necessary as the movie is sexually graphic. It is the emotion, and not necessarily the action, that keeps your glued to the screen. This is not a light-hearted movie, and by the end of it, you are exhausted.
However, it is worth watching and I would recommend this.
