Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Justin K — 03 Jun 2009
As with most of Ang Lee's films, I was blown away by the storytelling, beauty, and the production display of the time and place. And yet somehow, I felt this movie didn't intrigue me as much. It isn't on par with Brokeback Mountain or Sense and Sensibility to be great.
I've had great admiration for Lee so I'm probably being too harsh: I very much liked Lust, Caution but I wanted to love it.
