Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Tomek S — 28 Sep 2009
Big surprise Ang Lee is a great director and rarely is that more clear than in his thoroughly masterful touch on this film. Much like Lee's past work upon my initial viewing I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about Lust, Caution until I realized that long after having first seen it I couldn't shake it from my head or shrug off the feeling with which it had left me; as such I of course returned and was delighted by the force and humanity in Lee's direction.
On a side note, the summary for this film makes it sound cliched, ridiculous and like something other than what it is so don't let that lead you astray.
