Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by George B — 03 May 2010
The most brave filmmaker alive achieved another mission impossible again by cinematizing Eileen Chang's short story which very few dares to touch. Instead of telling the story word-from-word out of Chang's writing, Lee boldly made the explicit sexual scenes to realize what's inside Chang's words which no one had ever done before.
Eventually, Lee freed the film by making it his own idea-fulfillment instead of being hold back by Chang's picky fans's judgments.
