Review of Lucy (2014) by Winton W — 23 Mar 2015
The visuals in this movie were absolutely stunning. Scarlett Johansson rocked her role as Lucy. However, the plot and logic of the movie really prevented me from truly enjoying it, and it felt like a lot of the movie was spent trying to explain the "science" of it to the audience.
That being said, I walked into this movie skeptical and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't have high expectations for this movie at all, and it was much better than I thought it would be. I think I would have enjoyed it more if less of the dialogue was centered around trying to convince the audience to accept the logic of the movie.
