Review of Lucy (2014) by Regina P — 07 May 2016
Ummm, no. Just no. I love Scarlett but this was not good. It doesn't even count as sci-fi. It's sci-hooey. I can deal with Star Wars and the mythology behind it because it's fantasy with talking aliens, Death Stars, light-speed travel and teddy bears that defeat Storm Troopers.
But this tries to pass itself off as based on real science. Bologna. She should have died 35 minutes into the movie. That's what's real. And more brain power does not equal being able to BREAK the laws of physics.
Telekinesis? Yeah, okay. Add in some light sabers, some droids, and a villain who wears a black helmet and a black cape, and then we have a movie I can swallow.
