Review of Lucky You (2007) by Edward Y — 06 Aug 2008
How could such a good concept go so horribly wrong? With an all star cast that includes my favorites such as Eric Bana and Robert Duvall, and with more cameos of poker stars than ESPN, I was greatly looking forward to this flick.
Unfortunately I think that although the concept is fine, the poor script and the lack of enough editing did this film in. At times too much like a long poker tutorial, the editor could have easily lopped off 20-25 minutes from the total running time of over 2 hours.
I'm terribly dissapointed in what could have been an outstanding movie.
