Review of Lucky Number Slevin (2006) by Tayyab A — 28 Nov 2009
This is one of those movies I kept wanting to watch over and over and just finally got around to it. And while it wasn't the best film ever, it was worth the wait.
The twists and turns were kinda predictable about midway through but what impressed me was how well all the clues fit together. There were so many ways to figure out what was happening that I only caught about half of them. This reinforced how internally consistent the whole piece was, which is no mean feat with such a convoluted plot involving mistaken identity and decades long vendettas.
If you like this sort of film you're probably going to enjoy this one, though it doesn't stand out enough to appeal to you if you don't.
But since I do like this sort of thing I had fun.
