Reviewing Loving Vincent is asking the question of wether the film wouldve still been as fascinating as it is without the marvelous visuals, and the answer for me is no, as what the visuals truly do beyond creating visual appeal is telling an investigation drama that revolves around the death of an artist, serving as a homage both as a film, and as a story that IS Vincent.
