Saw this at a preview screwing in Washington, DC. Well- intentioned but very slow moving drama where not a lot happens. Loving could benefit from ratcheting up the dramatic tension, even in factual spots - waiting for the Supreme Court ruling, dealing with racist cops in Virginia, evoking done tension between husband and wife.
Instead, there's a lot of wooden acting and 2 hours could have been easily clipped to 90 minutes. I just didn't get the sense a lot was at stake here, which is a shame because the case was monumental in legal history.
