Review of Loving (2016) by Brandon S — 09 Mar 2017

This is a fascinating true story about an interracial couple who go out of State to be married as it is forbidden in their home state, only to be found out and banished for 25years. This in turn leads to a monumental Supreme Court decision.

What I liked about the films, is that it avoided some of the cliches you'd expect from this type of film. There are no big monologues or fiery speeches, no really big or drawn out court scenes. Instead, the film simply focuses on the couple and how much they love each other.

Both the lead performances are fantastic, and I also loved the cinematography. I can certainly recommend this film.
