Review of Love's Labour's Lost (2000) by Christopher C — 30 May 2008
I actually thought this would be worth watching-- transforming a Shakespeare comedy into a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers musical. The main missing ingrediant? Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! When will filmmakers realize that musicals are serious business that can't be left to amateurs? The cast is not up to the task, everybody tries too hard and fails.
The whole thing falls flat.
