Review of Love's Labour's Lost (2000) by Mark D — 27 Oct 2008
As a musical it was nothing special. None of the songs seemed to be able to fit. In a musical songs and dance are supposed to be able to seamlessly flow through the acting parts, this was disjointed, although I applaud KB for trying something new when it comes to Shakespeare. Alicia Silverstone gets on my nerves, but beside that, she does not have the chops to do Shakespeare.
**Unknown Shakepserean star - Nathan Lane, I wouldn't think he would have done so well, but he did, and made the part his own to boot. Alicia take a lesson from him.
