Review of Lovers of the Arctic Circle (1998) by Victor G — 11 Apr 2006
This spanish film is dark and romantic in a way that makes corny date flicks look soulless and insipid.
Lovers of the artic circle is a circle (i know it sounds weird), told by its two protagonists, each one at a time. We see how two different people live the exact same moment and what each of them feels, there are also two endings: one sad and the other kind of bittersweet, however the strenght of the film is not it's plot nor it's ending, is the way the director tells you the story and the way it makes this strange love story look as something that might actually happen.
