Review of Lovers of the Arctic Circle (1998) by Arturo V — 03 Mar 2012
The story line is very original, the perspective the movie has, what it tells, how it tells it and what it produces is just unique. Otto and Ana made my heart smile like it hadn't in a long time due to a movie.
So passionate and fearless, Julio Medem presents a real piece of art with this film. Once again the director plays with the casualties of life (like it did in the Red Squirrel) and makes the viewer consider if life is a great casualty guided by destiny. Its heartwarming to notice how love can affect and change ones life's path by the command of ones own soul when it finds it's "soulmate".
By far one of my favorite movies.
