Review of Love, Simon (2018) by Alan T — 22 Sep 2018
Lately ive been watching alot of 'family' movies , so I was looking forward to watching this one...Well, its not as good as 'Wonder'....the protagonist, I think his character is named 'Martin' is way over the top, so he actually detracts from the movie--so irritating, and maybe a bit hard to accept as real.
...the movie is partly based on the fat that a gay teen male, very smart with todays tech- phones and computers- somehow left a shared terminal in the schools library not shut down properly, so martin found out he was gay from the letters he was writing someone, and threatened to 'out' Simon if he didnt do what Martin wanted him to.
..that incident was too hard to accept as a legitimate premise...overall on a 1-10 scale, I give it a 6.5.....
