Review of Love Me Tonight (1932) by Jenneh B — 15 Nov 2005
Considering I do not care for either of the two leads - Maurice Chevalier and Jeannette MacDonald, my rating is quite high, so other viewers may see this as a film more deserving than an 8/10.
One of the best musicals of the 1930's, and ofall time, and certainly one of the most creative. The opening musical number is brilliant, incorporating the morning sounds of a village square into music. Most of the musical numbers are unusual and creative. An extremely enjoyable movie. Great songs, delightful plot.
