Review of Love Me Tonight (1932) by Sherry L — 01 Feb 2010
This wasn't really my cup of tea. Had expected something more of it, since I've heard so much about it but I consider it just another lightweight 1930s musical with a keep-up-the-spirit-air. Didn't make any impression on me, and as for the music... let's say,...it was ok. Nothing more.
I also had a little problem with Maurice Chevalier, as the romantic, crazy, frenchman. A little bit too "dashing" for me...
Tried really hard to like it, but couldn't.
Cannot rate it higher then 40%, despite some of my favorite actress are in it (Myrna Loy, Jeanette MacDonald). Sorry, but this is my opinion.
