Review of Love in the Time of Cholera (2007) by Rob L — 05 Jul 2008
I keep thinking this movie could have been so much better in Spanish. The accents really annoyed me; you have John Leguizamo speaking like he's from the Bronx, and what is Liev Schreiber doing here anyway? Visually, it's a stunning movie; the scenery, the costumes, all beautiful.
The story was interesting, but of course, it's a GarcÃa Márquez novel. Still, the acting could have been so much better and in the end, this movie aimed really high up and fell kind of flat.
