Haven't read the book and can't make the comparison. It was weird to see Javier Bardem in this role after recently seeing No Country for Old Men. He went from true evil in it to a total goofball in this one.
There's no way he could have had that "bed count." I liked the lead female character a lot but no enough to save my low opionion of the movie overall.
