Review of Love in the Time of Cholera (2007) by Ws W — 01 Sep 2010
Apparently too long & loose. Strange tone & narrative when blending the sometimes serious, sometimes comic elements together. Over-the-top acting from the ensemble cast in general too (Benjamin Bratt is relatively the most comfortable one to watch in this case already).
Javier Bardem is alright for his character from middle-aged onward but way too far-fetched for the twenty-something stage; whilst vice versa for Giovanna Mezzogiorno (not mentioning she could hardly act).
