Tells a love story about one man's grand love for a woman who marries another. To be exact, he loved and longed for her for fifty one years, nine months and four days. Giovana Mezzogiorno's performance was amazing! Here one can view the development of her character throughout the stages of her ilfe,from her youth through her old age.

Javier Bardem is an excellent actor, carried his character well. The settings were well captured too, the very essence of Columbia, a very period feel during the 1800s. A fantastic adaptation from the book.
