Review of Love in the Afternoon (1957) by 'John' C — 24 Jun 2008
Billy Wilder directs this interesting movie about the transforming power of fascination. Hepburn plays the young, innocent daughter whose brush with an older playboy becomes a flirtation with damnation; or perhaps her innocence will finally turn a cuckold into a marriagable man.
You really have to love Billy Wilder: who else can make you and your wife debate the ending to a romantic comedy?
