Review of Love Comes Softly (2003) by Buggy B — 14 Mar 2014
This was like watching a Hallmark version of Little House On The Prairie and that's exactly what it is. Its good though and I ended up really enjoying it. I went in expecting a cheese-fest but got all caught up in the 1800's frontier drama and romance -as with all Hallmarky type stuff, it sucked me right in. Directed by Michael Landon Jr, it's a family drama with a nice second-chance-at-love romance, an interesting (if predictable) story with a good cast and decent acting all round. There's some religious undertones but nothing in your face. I'm going to have to check out the rest of this "Love" series. 03.12.14.
"A newly widowed frontierswoman enters a marriage of convenience with a taciturn widower who gives her a home and a place to have her unborn child in exchange for tutoring his troubled young daughter.".
