Review of Love & Mercy (2015) by Alec B — 09 Nov 2015
It's much better, and far more moving, than I anticipated. Like most biopics, it does occasionally get bogged down in needless melodrama but unlike most biopics it never gets lost there. The dual narratives focusing on two parts of Wilson's life compliment each other nicely and the small scale focus ensures that "Love & Mercy" never ends up being another montage movie that only focuses on events rather than the characters.
